Gili Kolanta - Our Story

We are an Australian family who arrived on Gili Air in 2023 and immediately felt something special. The quiet pace, the natural beauty, and the simplicity of island life drew us in from the very beginning.

With no cars or motorbikes, Gili Air offers a rare sense of calm and a deep connection to nature. Life here moves gently, shaped by the ocean, the light, and the warmth of the local community. It quickly became clear to us that this was one of the few places left where you can truly slow down and be present.

From that feeling, Gili Kolanta Boutique was born. We wanted to create a peaceful boutique accommodation on Gili Air that reflected the way the island made us feel calm, grounded, and at ease. Our bungalow retreat is designed as a quiet island escape, where comfort is effortless and the rhythm of island living can be fully enjoyed.
